‘Ye Family’ Tujia Brocade recognized as ‘Chinese Time-honored Brand’

Recently, a new batch of “Chinese time-honored brands” was announced, and the “Ye Family” Tujia Brocade in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture was included, marking the first time that Xiangxi’s product has obtained the title. It is also the only brand of Tujia brocade selected in Hunan Province.

At present, there is one Chinese time-honored enterprise and 21 Hunan time-honored enterprises, ranking 6th in the province in terms of the total number. Since 2022, Xiangxi Prefecture has explored a group of enterprises and products with ethnic characteristics such as silver jewelry, wine, tea, vinegar, and preserved products, so as to promote the development of characteristic brands in Xiangxi by improving their quality and reputation.

Besides, Xiangxi Prefecture has leveraged the leading role of time-honored enterprise brands in various aspects like consumption promotion, industrial upgrading, and cultural inheritance to assist in the development of the real economy through the integration of brand and market.

Tujia brocade is one of the four famous brocades in China. As a representative enterprise of Tujia brocade, Ye Family Ethnic Crafts Co., Ltd. in Longshan County was awarded the title of a “Hunan Time-honored Brand” by Department of Commerce of Hunan Province in 2020. The company now has 87 innovative products in fields such as clothing, shoes and hats, scarves, and bedding, which are exported to multiple countries such as the United States, South Korea, and Russia.
